Ready for Fall (the pun is for Doug)
This is gonna take a little explaining. Brian is a compulsive ankle sprainer. It was no different 6 months ago when he got one of his worst sprains playing volleyball (his prefered method of sprainage). Since it has continued to bother him, he went to the Dr and was refered to an orthopedic surgeon. The surgeon asked him if he had stayed off it to let it heal and he had to admit that he hadn't. *Brian says this is called a non-compliant patient* Well this is the doctor's solution: forced compliance via casting. He gets it off Monday and if it's better, then voila, and if not he'll need an MRI to see if there's ligament damage.
One week after Lukas fell off the new bunk bed...Brooklyn did, too. At least it's not her face.
Although Luke's is looking much better now.
This comes specially requested from Jonathon. Jill's husband has a strange obsession with facial hair. It's the final and most compelling reason we are ready for Fall. Each November, Brian's school has a mustache contest in honor of Testicular Cancer Awareness. Brian's keeping his mustache incognito until the big day. But let me take the chance to say, FOR THE LOVE, if you haven't been checked for testicular cancer, don't make this experience go in vain. Get checked.
