How could we be more blessed?

Well it finally became official yesterday that Brian is going to MEDICAL SCHOOL!!

It's been an amazing path coming to this point. Let me just explain:

Miracle #1: A couple weeks ago, we knew our name was getting close to the top of the wait list and I decided to try posting our house for rent on craigslist to see if we would get any interest. Well, it just so happened that this adorable couple with two little girls was praying to find a place to rent and called on the ad. We completely clicked with them and I know they're going to love being here and take great care of the house.

Miracle #2: We went to Vegas with my family for the weekend a couple weeks ago and looked at some rentals in Henderson while we were there. Well we found a cheap older place we thought would be great and called the number but the guy said it was already rented. We were bummed and told him out situation and he was bummed, too because his wife is a doctor and he "would have rather rented to us". Anyway, we told him to keep our number in case the renter fell through. He called right back to tell us he has another rental closer to the campus. We were excited but we were already on our way out of town. When he called Brian a couple days later to tell us about it, we found out the rent was $400 more than we were budgeting and Brian told him the pictures online were beautiful but "we're looking for something about $400 less". Amazingly, his wife, the doctor, called last Monday to tell us that she had some people who helped her while she was in medical school and she wants to help us, so she'd drop the rent to meet our budget.

Miracle #3: We finally got accepted!

It's amazing how things can go from feeling so crazy and uncertain until the Lord comes in and "calms the waves of the storm". It's incredible to feel that he knows us, hears our prayers, and wants to bless us when we strive to do what's right.

FYI - We're going to be close enough to campus that we won't need two cars so we're selling Brian Altima. Get the word around and anyone who's interested can call Brian.

Crazy month. Camera broke for good.

There's been a lot going on the past few weeks. Too bad my baby doesn't realize that we don't have enough money to replace the camera that she dropped on the ground (although I'm not too sad because it was time for a new one anyway). At least I didn't lose the pictures I had taken before that. Here's a rundown on the activities:
-Pew family reunion
-Grandma's funeral
-Portlyn's BDay/Baptism
-Bouncy Place
-Phoenix Zoo
-Father's Day
-Movie Day with Cousins
-Soccer with Boe
-Superstition Farms
-Big Surf
-Mollenhauer's Visit
-Wicked
-Trip to Las Vegas
Here's to hoping for a calm July (probably never happen)

The hotel in vegas (Golden Nugget) had this sweet pool with a shark tank in the middle and a slide running through. You can't see it but Luke had this play camera and he was snapping pictures like a tourist all weekend. Too cute!

We stopped on the way home in Wikiup to grab some dinner and get into PJs.

Here's the pics at Superstition Farms...

Here's some shots at the Bouncy place - $5 (kids 2-14 only) on Monday nights from 5-10pm. Not bad. Luke was in heaven and had no fears. Is that rude to have his BDAY there and have everybody pay their own way in?

This is what happens when you try to get Luke to fake a smile.

All my brothers and sisters came for Grandma Pew's funeral. I also got to see all my Pew cousins. Is there any better legacy to leave behind? Thank you Grandma for your unaltering example of integrity and hard work. I'm so glad you finally get to be with your sweetheart again!

They're becoming best friends.

Splash pad at San Tan Mall after movie day.

Just cute. Daddy's girl.
Happy Father's Day Daddy, Brian, and Grandpa DeWitt. For all the money in the world I couldn't have 3 better father's in my life.

Popsicles at Papa's

Utah cousins Dallin, Tyson, and Zoey (I think she's fallen for Brian).

Brian and Gunner love to wrestle and play XBOX.
Phoenx Zoo - summer's here!!
To finish with a cherry on top - we found out that Val, Cameron, Gunner, Portlyn, Jacey, and Boe have a BABY coming. YIPPEE!!
