Adventures in Florida

So, the logistics of our near cross-country move were this: we scored a killer deal on a moving company driving most of our stuff. My Dad and I drove the minivan with more of our stuff and the dogs down through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and finally down to South Florida. We both like to drive but boy were we ready to be done when we finally got there. In the meantime, Brian played with the kids a few days in AZ and then his mom flew over with he and the kids. Thank heavens for parents who could help!!

This was our stop in San Antonio. Found it on a favorite food network show: DDD.

After 4 days driving, we finally arrived.
Brian had some time off before he had to start orientations so we worked hard unpacking and had fun cramming in some sight-seeing before real life had to begin.
First trip to the beach.

The trampoline we promised the kids. $120 on craigslist!

Lukas wanted to buy a real watch - funny kid.

Baby alligator.

Wildlife preserve, or sanctuary (I don't know the difference but they have lots here).

First FaceTime - shout out to Apple on this one - really helps us keep in touch.

The pediatric residents had a bunch of get-togethers so we could all get to know one another.
Great bunch of people Brian gets to work with!

Food Truck Invasion!

Cute local park!

4th of July Party at the church

Bike parade out in the parking lot.

Happy Independence Day!

Budgie feeding at Lion Country Safari. We love this place so much we got annual passes.

Catching frogs after the rain.

Playing on the neighbors toys.

Our babysitter, Nicole Roker. Love her!
